This Division is an integral part in the overall development process within the City.

The Fire Safety Analyst is a member of the Citywide Development Review Committee. They are also participants in the Community Development Permit Team. 

The Fire Safety Analysts review proposed project locations, answer development questions, assist developers in understanding the City’s tax incentive programs, and provide direction in Fire Code application.  

Development projects receive a preliminary review to assure compliance with fire department requirements, well before architectural and/or site plan submittal. This division reviews all fire protection systems, tenant improvements, land use, and proposed street closure or modification plans.  

For the more simplistic plan check and resubmits we offer same day plan review at Fire Headquarters 1439 S. Broadway by appointment only, Monday through Thursday excluding holidays.
