The Emergency Operations Division handles all fire, medical aid, and hazardous material incidents. The Division is deployed through ten fire engine companies, four truck companies, a Type I Haz-Mat unit, six ALS Paramedic Ambulances, and a Battalion Chief.
The Santa Ana Fire Department considers Fire Prevention an integral part of our fire service effort as well as a nexus to a successful business environment. It is our belief that the impact of fire prevention should be both positive and productive to both the residential and business communities.
The Support Services division provides services that maintain or "support" the Emergency Operations component of the Fire Department. The division includes 6 subsections: Communications, Emergency Management, Training, Maintenance, EMS, and Training.
The Fire Department has been responding to requests for help for over 100 years. Santa Ana Fire now delivers state of the art Emergency Medical Services (EMS) to a city of over 315,000 residents. The Fire Department has been providing Emergency Paramedic service to the public for over 25 years.
The men and women of the Fire Department are pleased to provide disaster preparedness training for the citizens of Santa Ana. The Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) is designed to prepare yourself, your family, and your neighbors in the event of a catastrophic disaster.
