The City of Santa Ana requires all persons transacting and carrying on business within the City to obtain a business license prior to commencing business in the City. In recognization that businesses and indepedent contractors may be unsure or unaware of their business license obligations, the City of Santa Ana has launched a temporary “Business Licesne Tax Amnesty Program”. Existing unlicensed businesses and licensed businesses who need to make an amended filing may apply for this program. Based on the application of current year tax rates, delinquency penalties and interest will be abated for delinquent or misfiled tax years beginning January 1, 2007.
