Laura's practice focuses on transactional law, where she primarily coordinates the Office's contracts practice.
Background and Experience
Ms. Sheedy advises the various City departments on issues relating to contracts and insurance. Prior to joining the City Attorney's office, Laura served as Deputy City Attorney and Deputy County Counsel for a number of Cities and Counties in California. There, she handled Code Enforcement as well as advising various departments including Treasurer, Assessor, Public Works, Planning, Library, Clerk and Recorder.

Ms. Sheedy is a member of the State Bar of California and the Orange County Women Lawyers Association. She is admitted to practice in California and Colorado.
Education
Ms. Sheedy graduated from University of Wyoming College of Law. She received her B.S. in Business from Colorado State University.
