Background and Experience
Ms. Judd is a Deputy City Attorney in the Development Services Group, and serves as a code enforcement prosecutor for the City of Santa Ana. In addition, she advises City departments on code enforcement issues, serves as Legal Counsel for the Neighborhood Improvement Code Enforcement Committee, and shares responsibility with the other attorneys in the office for Public Records Act requests, Pitchess motions, and subpoenas. Ms. Judd joined the City Attorney’s Office in 2008.
Prior to joining the City, Ms. Judd was employed as a Deputy City Attorney with the City of Huntington Beach, where she primarily practiced in the areas of police legal advice, Pitchess motions, public works, civil rights, first amendment, business transactions, public records law, and code enforcement prosecution. She began her legal career as an associate with the law firm of Ferguson, Praet and Sherman, where she specialized in police related issues and represented various police departments throughout the state in both civil litigation and administrative law matters.
Professional Affiliations
Ms. Judd is admitted to practice law in California and before the United States District Courts for the Eastern, Central, Northern, and Southern Districts of California. She is also a member of the Government and Public Sector Lawyers Division of the American Bar Association.
Education
Ms. Judd is a summa cum laude graduate of the Whittier Law School, where she was the valedictorian of her class. |
